Today is National Coffee Day!!!

Today, is National Coffee Day!!!!!
Wondering where the term “Cup Of Joe” comes from? Why not pour yourself one and read on to find the answers to that and other burning coffee questions.
1. Coffee is the second most traded product in the world after petroleum. World wide coffee production tips the scales at about 6 million metric tons.
2. It takes five years for a coffee tree to reach maturity. The average yield from one tree is the equivalent of one roasted pound of coffee.
3. People who buy coffee primarily at drive through windows on their way to work will spend as much as 45 hours a year waiting in line.
4. Of the various botanical species of coffee trees in the world, only two are extensively cultivated commercially; Arabica and Robusta.
5. The average person who buys coffee outside the office to consume at work will spend the equivalent value of a round trip plane ticket to Florida every year.
6. The first coffee house in Europe opened in Venice in 1683, while coffee was available in Europe as early as 1608, mostly for the rich.
7. The expression “a cup of Joe” to denote coffee, was first coined during WWII, when American servicemen (G.I. Joe) were identified as big coffee drinkers.
8. The largest coffee-producing nation, Brazil, is responsible for 30 to 40 % of total world output.
9. In the late 1800’s, Chase and Sanborn put out a flier on how to read the coffee grounds at the bottom of the cup (like a fortune teller).
10. Coffee cherries usually contain two “beans”, except for the single bean peaberry anomaly. Cherries with three beans are deemed to be a sign of good luck.
11. A Belgian living in Guatemala invented the first instant coffee in 1906 and later immigrated to the United States. His name, ironically enough, was George Washington.

15 Beauty Myths Revealed
2. You should never rub your wrists together when you apply fragrance. TRUE. This can "bruise" the oils contained in the blend, chemically altering the scent. "Leave it alone and let the air dry it."
3. Shaving makes your hair grow thicker. FALSE. However, it can appear that way. When you shave, you're cutting hair off at its largest diameter, so you're left with the blunt end, which often feels coarser and thicker.
6. Plucking your eyebrows will stop them from growing back. TRUE. Sustained tweezing over many years (decades, really) may fatigue the hair follicle to the point where it may not grow back.
8. You ingest pounds of lipstick every year, and it's harmful to your health. FALSE. The average woman is estimated to consume four milligrams of lipstick daily. To reach even half a pound, it would take four lifetimes (assuming lipstick is worn from age 16 to 80). Even then there are no health risks, according to Health Canada.
9. Toothpaste makes the best spot treatment for acne. FALSE. Although some toothpastes contain benzoyl peroxide (an acne-zapping ingredient that is also used as a whitening agent), there are many more-effective products that specifically target acne. Look for products with at least five percent benzoyl peroxide.
11. Every time you sleep with your makeup on, it ages your face by seven days. FALSE. Leaving your foundation on at night could lead to clogged pores and acne, but it won’t cause more wrinkles. The bigger concern is leaving on a product such as mascara. Sleeping wearing eye makeup could lead to irritation or an infection. Use a cleanser and eye-makeup remover to get rid of all traces before hitting the sack. And if you’re too tired to wash up at the end of the day, keep a set of makeup wipes at your bedside for a quick fix.
12. Sleep debt is real , you can't make up for lost zzzs. TRUE. Most women need between 7.5 and 8.5 hours of sleep every night. The hours we lose to stress, overwork and late-night partying are gone forever.
13. Storing fragrances in the fridge will make them last longer. FALSE. The oils in the scents will permeate all fats – such as butter and milk – in your fridge, causing contamination. Instead, keep scents in a cool, dark place, preferably at or just below room temperature.

Pillow box tutorial
I got this idea a couple of years back because I got fed up of throwing so many toilet paper rolls. Mainly I try to recycle as much as I can.
And I came up with this idea after seeing a tutorial of how to make a pillow box from scratch and I thought that TP rolls would be half the work done.
These pilou boxes are great way to offer gifted presents to the ones you love or friends and also to wrap your sold items to send to your customers if they accept recycled wrappings. I know most of them now do. It’s less expensive.
You can decorate them to your business colors and put your logo on them.
Step 1-
Here’s what you will need to make your own pillow box:
-Toilet paper roll
-scissors
-pointy instrument or bone folder
-ribbon
-crafty paper
-round object (like a glass or bowl)
-glue stick
Step 2-
Take your toilet paper roll and your pointy object or bone folder and trace around at the end of the TP roll, like in the picture below and cut of the exterior part.
Step-3
Then take your round object and do the same thing but in reverse, trace around on the inside.
It will be to fold in and close the edges so the goodies don’t come out.
Step 4-
Now fold in the edges where you traced the lines, you will find that they fold in quite easily.
Step 5-
Now decorate your pillow box with your craft paper and ribbons, and voilà , ready for your goodies and ready for gifting or off to your customers.!!!
